We made such a splash championing the GEW in Canada in our inaugural year that the CYBF was given the “Country of the Year” award for organizing the 2009 campaign.
How we celebrated
- Launch of the Great Canadian Mentoring Challenge: Together with IBM, the W. Brett Wilson Centre for Entrepreneurial Excellence and Nerds on Site, we called out to successful businesspeople across Canada and asked them to share business advice, tips and best practices in a specially designed blog.
- YES Youth Entrepreneurship Summit: We hosted an afternoon at The Carlu in Toronto to inspire and empower new and existing entrepreneurs.
- Dragon’s Den live judging of Ypreneur Gene finalists: Three top entrepreneurs faced off before our friends from CBC’s hit show Dragon’s Den for a chance to win a Propertyguys.com franchise.
