Global Entrepreneurship Week: YOU Innovate Canada Tournament

YOU Innovate Canada Tournament
CONGRATULATIONS to YOU Innovate Canada tournament champions and THANK YOU to all the participants, judges, sponsors, partners and supporters that helped make this tournament a success!
The YOU Innovate Canada tournament showed Canadians that the spark of a great business idea simply comes from looking at an ordinary thing in an extraordinary way, an entrepreneurial way.
A national tournament organized by the Canadian Youth Business Foundation in celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week, YOU Innovate Canada was an opportunity for every Canadian to engage with, connect to and see the value of entrepreneurship in their everyday lives.
This fall, tournament participants used the everyday household object at the centre of this tournament – a coffee cup – to create new value. They then submitted a brief video about their innovation.
CYBF sincerely thanks all the YOU Innovate Canada tournament participants for sharing their imagination and creativity with us! We were moved and inspired by all the innovative ways you created value out of a simple coffee cup. We give a special thanks to all the judges, sponsors, partners and supporters for helping to show Canadians that they have what it takes to be successful entrepreneurs.

Thirteen teams from across Canada were selected as regional champions. Find out who they are! Each team received $1,500 generously provided by Studentawards.com.
The national champion is The Grow Mug Project. Team members Stephanie Fung, Jeanette Hudon, Stephen Chychota and Kayvon Razzaghi, all students at Brandon University in Manitoba, used personalized recycled mugs to grow herbs and teach children about plants and healthy eating.
