Mentoring: Pay it forward
Fuel the passion. Leave an impact.
By becoming a mentor with the Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF), you can use your breadth of knowledge and experience to help a young entrepreneur get their start-up business off the ground.
CYBF’s industry-leading mentoring program hand-matches experienced business professionals with young entrepreneurs.
Share your expertise
Whether you own a business or work in the corporate, non-profit or government sectors, sharing your skills and knowledge can help a young entrepreneur launch and grow their business, and turn their dream into a reality.
Consider the experience and skills you could share in:
| Business Planning | Finance | Human Resources |
| Information Technology | Leadership | Legal |
| Management | Marketing | Start-ups |
What to expect
| 1 | Complete an online application form and attach your resume and/or your LinkedIn profile. |
| 2 | A CYBF representative will contact you to answer any questions, tell you more about the role and conduct a short telephone interview. |
| 3 | You will be introduced to the online learning provided by our Mentor-in-Residence. |
| 4 | Once you’ve been hand-matched with an entrepreneur, together you will complete Ment2BTM, CYBF’s online orientation program, which helps establish a foundation for your working relationship. |
| 5 | You will then meet regularly over the next two years (with some flexibility), usually for 4-5 hours per month. |
