Join CYBF’s Mentoring Program!
Are you a business professional, looking for a way to make a difference? By becoming a mentor with the Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF), you can use your years of experience to help a start-up business get off the ground.
CYBF provides comprehensive support for young entrepreneurs across Canada who are establishing and building their business. This includes pre-launch coaching and resources to help create a business plan, financing, post-launch services and support to position young entrepreneurs for long-term success.
A key component of our approach is our Mentorship Program. Learning from someone who’s already been there – a mentor – is a key to any success. Our entrepreneurs work with a mentor over the course of two years, usually for 4-5 hours per month. This is where YOU can make a difference.
CYBF’s world-class mentoring program personally matches experienced business professionals with entrepreneurs. Perhaps you have expertise in operations, finance, marketing or technology. You may be skilled in negotiation, people management, conflict resolution and work-life balance. You may have many years of running your own business, or you may work in the corporate, non-profit or government sectors. Sharing your skills and knowledge can help a young entrepreneur launch, grow and expand their business and turn their dream into a reality.
Becoming a mentor to a young entrepreneur is beneficial for both mentor and entrepreneur. Not only will you create a rewarding relationship that helps a young person succeed, you will have the opportunity for personal growth and fulfillment while making a difference to a young person, your community and to Canada’s economy.

A CYBF Mentoring Manager will contact you to answer any question you may have, tell you more about the role and conduct a short telephone interview. Once we have an entrepreneur who is a potential match, we will contact you again to arrange an introductory meeting. If you and the young entrepreneur agree to work together, the next step to launch the relationship is to complete Ment2BTM, our online orientation program.
CYBF also connects you to other mentors through Entrepeer so you can share information and support.
