Johanna focuses on healing with the intention to return the body to health and vitality, with a speciality in inducing a state of deep relaxation to bring about a sense of renewal for the entire body. Johanna’s practice is based on scientific studies that highlight that hypnotherapy supports that body in unwinding into deep levels of relaxation where healing occurs.

Her Story: Harnessing the energy of mind and body
Johanna Lynn entered the sphere of holistic healing with a successful career as a massage therapist. Her love of natural healing started in 1998 while training in the ancient art of reflexology and continuing education in aromatherapy and massage therapy. These healing modalities increased her awareness of the power of the mind-body connection and led directly into the fascinating world of hypnotherapy.

The Ottawa Community Loan Fund connected Johanna with the Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF), where she received financing, business resources and was connected with Kaila Stratton, a CYBF mentor. Kaila provides advice and support to help Johanna run her business.

Johanna uses her past experience and a dedication to holistic healing to tailor unique and effective programs for each hypnosis client. She has developed speciality hypnosis programs for releasing weight for life with the message that life’s too short not to love the body you’re in, called The Love Your Body Program and The Joy of Birth filled with resources to enjoy a more comfortable pregnancy and empower birth.

As part of The Seekers Centre for Integrative Medicine, Johanna finds each day an opportunity to live life in the present, in a mindful and compassionate way that helps her clients. “Life is simply better when you are doing what you love,” she said. “Sharing your natural skills and talents offers the kind of energy that many are seeking.”
